Writing CCNA Intro (640-821) exam in a few days. Any advice on which areas to focus on? So far, I am comfortable with subnetting, IOS-CLI, the layered reference models etc. The only things I haven't read much about so far are the routing protocols and remote access technologies/WAN etc. Also, is there any website where I could get some experience with the simlet type questions (*for free*)? Cheers.

Buddy, if I were you, I choose the 640-801 (Intro + ICND), much better to do only one exam...but, it´s up to you...

Study the Sybex CCNA 5th edition, and Testking, but be carefull, Testking has some wrong answer, but at least, those are the actual exam questions! Study the material, and you´ll be fine!

Find those resources at: www.XXXXXX.com.

Yes, why you want to take two test instead of one

Thanks for all your responses. And indeed going for CCNA 640-801 exam would have given me full certification status plus it'd have been a more economical option. But I have only done CCNA 1 and 2 courses (of the 4 available from Cisco's networking academy curriculum) at college, and these cover the material for INTRO only - moreover I did qualify for the voucher so in the end only had to pay $37.50 for the exam. Anyway, I am all done and have passed the CCNA INTRO exam - preparing now for ICND. Look forward to consulting this forum again  Smiley

All the best to y'all.

I plan to take CCNA exam soon and I agree that you should not take 2 separate exams.  It's not economical.  I went through few books from Cisco Press.  Is there anything that I should concentrate on?

Thanks,

MD

It is logistically more sound to take one exam!
