I am going to go for CCDA after completing CCNP. I am not sure whether it's easier than CCNA.

I personally found CCNA easier than CCDA but that's probably due to me being more 'hands on' and 'playing' with routers on a daily basis. CCDA involves heavily in the design. Guess it really depends on you if you are a hands-on type person or a design type person...

Cheers,
CJ

How deep was the design need?
Maybe a better question, how much detail?  Products, interfaces, WIC's , Network modules?  How much do you really need to know?

Hi! Im a newbie here.

Im preparing for my first ever CCDA exam. I'll be  taking it in a months time. It's really more difficult than CCNA beacause you have to know all about designing LANs and WANs. I think than IT professionals venturing in Cisco certifications should take CCDA examinations first beacause this is where they can test their foundations in networking. It is also a practice for IT professionals to define the abstract concepts first before identifying the technology to use, that is, design first before implementation or better yet, CCDA before CCNA.

Have a good day!

The CCDA was much more intense than the CCNA, in my opinion. It was more like one of the CCNP exams...

I passed CCDA with 837 today. It was so hard. Because, so many things were theoretical. Also, I passed CSE ( Cisco Sales Expert ), but that was easier of course.
I'll go for CCNA tomorrow, but i don't know if I'll succee or not  Huh

The worst thing in Cisco Certification Exams is, you cannot remark any question, or you cannot skip any question. Only, you have to answer that question. If not, you cannot see the other question. That was terrible for me. Blank answer is also accepted as wrong.

Have a nice study...

Hi All,

Please if you intend to go for CCDA, do not use testking materials or dumps because about 30% of the answers are wrong.

Rather take out time to cross-check every question and the answer in the recmmended textbooks.

Thanks.

You need to know Products like 2500 2600 2800 series routers, You do not need to know detailed information about interfaces, WIC's, or Network Modules. The test is more of a high level design of the network ie. You need Layer 3 switches in the core and Layer 2 switches for your local network. Things like that.

I recommend using knowledge net to study for this exam.

I would agree to this. If you do want to use a dump, make sure to check all of your answers in books or on Cisco's website.
