I am just starting but I saw a graph on the cisco web site that had a roadmap that followed this exam order:

QOS
CVOICE
IPTT
CIPT
GWGK

Should be no problem if you want to take the cVoice first.  One of my friend took his cvoice without any formal trainning, only read a few books and a few cli practices on the router, and he passed (barely).  But, who care, pass is a pass, right!

In New Zealand where I live there is a great demand for voip and ip telephony people, The people with these skills are getting up to $100 an hour in some situations which is heaps where you compare how much it costs to live.  Im a network engineer (non voip) and i make under $30 an hour and i have a good wage.  I think that the average wage in NZ is about $20 an hour.  However the recruitment places here seem to not of heard of CCVP before.  The job ads only list CCNA or CCIE but nothing else.
