I was thinking about working towards CCIP, but I have been getting a calls from consulting companies asking if I have my CCNA.  When I respond that I'm a CCNP, they don't seem to get that it a higher level of certification.  So I can just imagine what they think CCIP means or is worth.  Does anyone else have this problem with ignorant consulting companies?

A friend sat the exam recently and he found it quite hard - there were 3 major simulations which took a lot of time.  He ran out of time in the end with still 3 questions remaining.  Luckily he passed (just).

He advised if you are going to do it (I'm hoping to sit around October)  to study BGP commands especially - as you will need to know your command set for the simultion as well as for other questions.

I finished CCSP in January and moving towards the CCIE Security I have started on the CCIP track. The most relevant exam there is BGP and plan to take it within a months time. I can agree that CCIP is high held among employeer and if you are able to take the composite exam - 642-891, then you are also a step further towards CCNP. Best of luck  Smiley

I think the exams are found difficult because
1. First you dont have updated dumps available for this exam. Only QOS dump is updated. MPLS & BGP dumps were released months back and haven't been updated since.
2. Fewer people have exposure to MPLS/BGP/QOS in real life
3. Fewer people are giving the CCIP exams because they are mostly valued only by service providers.
4. None of the topics in these exams are covered @ CCNA level.

So, the important question, why dont we have updated dumps available for these exams ??

There is a increase in the number of multinational companies using MPLS/BGP to interconnect their various sites - but it will take time - its not an overnight fix.  You need skilled people to support the environment.

Most large companies currently - especially in the financial world use a combination of OSPF as the IGP and BGP as the EGP - normally for Internet connectivity.

With VOIP/Multicasting coming in - its easier to implement an all-in-one solution using MPLS/BGP and QOS to control.

In a years time, the number of CCIP candidates will mushroom and with that the braindumps will increase.

Request / Download Links for braindumps should only be posted under "Share & Exchange" Forum.
