Hi, Can someone please tell me which is the most popular cert for Microsoft? I am right now preparing for CCNA and will like to do some microsoft certs. I've heard MCP is pretty easy but not as popular as MCSE.
Thanks in advance CertGuru

70-270 is quite easy to start with. However i personaly like to begin with some hard exams like 70-291 and then 70-290 and leave the 70-270 for last. And the most popular microsoft cert is MCSA in my opinion.

MCP I would say is the most popular since it is the easiest just pass one exam. I think the next one I would suggest is the MCSA. It carries a little more clout but is not by any means the best. Of course if you do the MCSA you only have a couple of additional tests to get the MCSE. No longer an easy task

I don't think there's a valid answer to the "most popular certification" question. It all depends on what you want to be/do. If you want to be a Sysadmin, you'll go for the MCSA/MCSE certification. If you're into development, you'll get the MCAD/MCSD. If databases are your thing, then you'll go for MCDBA. The new generation of certifications that MS is coming out with this year is making things even more granular (ie, you can get a "developer specializing in web apps" certification).

if you take 270 it is relatively easy and you can become a MCP right away. Also 290 will be the second popular test.

Hello,
I have a MCSA, I would suggest you start with 70-270 ,70-290 then 70-290. The test follow a path in that order.
